Abstract
A continuous spectrum covering ∼1.9–4.5 microns with ∼1.4W power beyond 3.8 microns (50% duty cycle) is generated in a Mid-Infrared Super-Continuum Laser. An optical conversion efficiency of ∼9% is achieved from a thulium-doped power amplifier to the super-continuum.
