A Brief Study Sijo Formal

Abstract

Sijo is a literary genre with a 700-year history. The first founder is of “Utak”. Wutak created a form of sijo based on Neo-Confucianism. Chojang, Jungjang, and Jongjang symbolize “the path of heaven”, “the path of man”, and “the path of land”. This fact was revealed by Kim Cheon-taek in the late Joseon Dynasty. In his , Utak's “Tanroga” was discovered. Sijo was passed down as a song from the late Goryeo Dynasty to the late Joseon Dynasty. From the late Joseon Dynasty to 1894 (Gapo Gyeongjang), it went through the revival of Sijochang and Sajo. From 1894 to 1910, the progenitor of the enlightenment period was prevalent in the form of a progenitor. From 1910 to 1945, modern poetry in a modern form was created. Sijo is an independent genre and is an attractive genre with a beautiful and perfect Yulmun structure.
