Abstract

Research on the resistance to compression and creeping in high-copper amalgam alloys is important, as it may serve as a basis for analyzing their properties, from which their clinical behavior may be verified. In this study, resistance to compression, as well as to creeping, was investigated in three different brands of high-copper amalgam alloys, for a period of one hour and then for seven days. Specimens of each alloy were prepared in compliance with Specification Number 1 set forth by the ADA.
