Abstract
The demand for renewable energy sources is increasing due to the limitations of the non-renewable energy sources, but most of the existing loads are AC. So, these renewable energy sources are required converters to feed to AC loads, which convert the DC to AC. For high power high applications, the switching losses and efficiency is a significant problem with conventional inverters. So, to address this issue, multi-level inverters are a great solution, which can reduce switching losses and increase efficiency. This paper proposes a 15 level, multi-level inverter for three DC sources with 10 switches. The performance of the proposed topology validated in MATLAB Simulink environment, and results are demonstrated that, the voltage stress across very less and with less number of switches high efficiency is achieved
