Wherein contours are shape representing approach, they may be very large in representation and hence result in resource overhead. To minimize the resource overhead in image retrieval system, a normalized scale contour coding is proposed. Abstract
In the area of image retrieval, shape based coding is a simpler and effective approach of image representation.
