The measurement data shows the value of water capacitance is greater than oil, and the value of air capacitance is smaller than other substances. However, by comparing the capacitance of various oil, soybean oil tends to have a small, while Lard has the biggest capacitance value in this study. Abstract

In this paper describes the development of Portable Electronic Capacitance Meter based on Resonance Method. The capacitance meter hardware consists of Oscillator Circuit, the inductor which parallels with the sample as LC Circuit, and Frequency Meter. The sample is assumed as a capacitor object detection on the LC Circuit is resonated by the oscillator. The frequency result from the resonance is read and the process by IC 74HC93 and Arduino, furthermore the capacitance value is displayed on LCD.
