Abstract

Since the radio frequency is a limited resource and mobile traffic is expected to continue increasing, traffic offloading to other networks is promising solution to accommodate large traffic. Especially, 60 GHz band has recently attracted attentions due to its high-speed communication. However, its short communication distance provides only a narrow coverage area. In order to overcome the disadvantage of its narrow coverage area, this paper presents a novel communication scheme for content delivery. Our demonstration shows that a user can use both 60 GHz and lower frequency bands seamlessly and unconsciously.
