Abstract
Digitization and digital transition are frequently used terms in modern communication. Facts as the transition of the classical Data-Internet to the Internet of Things IoT, and Industrial Internet, respectively, are more and more influencing all technologies and thus it is quite appropriate to think about the future of metrology in such a changing environment.
