Abstract
The Microwave Time Transfer MODEM MITREX is of particular interest for very precise time transfer over intercontinental distances. It allows the synchronization of atomic clocks to accuracies in the order of a few nanoseconds. The MODEM is compatible with the 70 MHZ-input/output interfaces of standard Intelsat earth stations.
