Abstract
A method is proposed for automatically detecting “enthusiastic” utterances in text-based dialogues. Using conditional random fields, our proposed method distinguishes between the enthusiastic and non-enthusiastic parts of a dialogue. Testing demonstrated that it performs as well as human detection.
