Abstract

Mobile devices are characterized by low processing power, limited communication bandwidth, limited storage space and rudimentary input and output systems. Networks of such devices are mainly the medium for data exchange. Dynamic code exchange is a feature that is not supported in this environment even though communication is easily achieved. This paper proposes a flexible class loader for the Java connected limited device configuration (CLDC).
