Abstract
In this study; a single negative textile-based metamaterial has been proposed for Industrial, Scientific and Medical (ISM) band applications. A tunable ε-negative region is obtained at 4.8GHz having a bandwidth value of almost 0.8GHz. A finite array is proposed that mimics the unit cell accurately and the scattering parameters of the array compared with the unit cell. In addition to that the parametric analyses of the unit cell is also performed. Parameter retrieval analysis, which uses a version of the Nicholson-Ross-Weir (NRW) algorithm that is improved by implementing the Kramers-Kronig relationship, is performed by using the magnitude and phase values, which are obtained via CST Microwave Studio. Proposed planer textile structure bended on a sphere having a radius of r and the corresponding scattering characteristic has been evaluated.
