Abstract
This paper presents prototype development of a three-phase bridge inverter for PV applications using dSPACE 1104 hardware interface with Matlab/Simulink software. It is evident that a PV system requires an inverter to generate ac power to make it available to the consumers at the utility. Firstly, the three-phase inverter model is built in Matlab Simulink and the control strategy used is current controlled SPWM. The generated PWM signals in Matlab Simulink from the voltage command of the load side are also obtained in real time using dSPACE 1104 control board. These signals are then applied to the gate of the power devices through proper driver circuits. The results obtained after implementing the entire set-up in the lab are presented here.
