Abstract

To solve the problem of controlled fusion we propose to conduct explosions in the MAGO/FISSION chamber, where the energy is mainly released in the deuterium reaction. This allows closed cycles at explosion energies around 25 kt. The explosive assembly of MAGO/FISSION is based on the plutonium magnetic compression with following performance of thermonuclear targets. Parametrically this assembly does not yield to pure thermonuclear charges. However, it is terroristproof in case of despoilment.
