Similarly, the interest in using game technology and game experience for these purposes is rising. This paper presents a conceptual model for a compassionate game AI that aids the player-patients throughout their gameplay experience. The model outlines how compassion can be injected in the nature of the companion to fulfill its role within a compassionate game. Compassionate game design aims to offer a comforting experience within the challenging nature of games.
