Abstract

The system of power supply is characterized by the continuous growth of loadings. By transfer of such great values of capacities on the power line there is a problem with the restriction of short circuit currents. One of alternative ways of the solution of this problem is the application of inserts of a direct current creating "gap" in a chain. A research problem is to carry out the comparative analysis of the application of a direct current insert and the switch between tires-110 of kV on the substation of Irkutsk 330 kV in the PVK program complex ARA RZA for the purpose of the restriction of short circuit currents.
