Abstract

Increased ship automatization levels lead to better functionality and safety, as well as reduced costs and crew numbers. This article gives an overview of various marine control and monitoring systems recently developed by Brodarski Institute. Included in the presentation are recently commissioned propulsion monitoring system for fast patrol vessels, distributed fire and flooding protection system, ship guidance system of a highly manoeuvrable small vessel, naval automatic degaussing systems, integrated low-cost mine countermeasures system and integrated hydrographic survey and navigation system for inland waterways.
