Abstract

this paper analyses the effects of different microgrid configuration on energy efficiency. Four main possible topologies of connecting PV panels and battery energy storage systems are discussed in details. After performing a description and analysis of each configuration simulations were carried out in MATLAB Simulink to calculate the energy efficiency of the energy storage system. Simulation results are compared with practical experiments in the lab.
