Abstract

A compact dualband WLAN two-antenna system is proposed for implementation on the corner of a mobile platform. To ensure proper isolation performance, a decoupling network made of lumped elements and configured in a π-shaped scheme is inserted between two orthogonally displaced antennas. Simulation results suggest such a design can achieve dualband MIMO operation with satisfying isolation performance. It can be employed on mobile platforms such as notebooks and handsets.
