Abstract

Due to various applications of variable frequency drives in industry, design procedure and control methods of these converters have attracted many researchers from both industry and academia. In this paper, a high power density AC-DC-AC converter design is presented alongside finite control set model predictive control method. Using model predictive control for the LC filter at the load side enables load voltage control which is an important issue in variable frequency drive applications.
