Abstract
Developing 3D applications is needed as a tool that can attract students to learn. This study develops learning applications that display solar system objects in 3D using Rapid Application Development (RAD) model as an interesting learning tool for elementary school students in Indonesia. The development of applications using RAD model can be three phases namely: planning requirements, RAD design workshop, and implementation. It facilitates students to learn material about the 3D solar system in sound explanations, and animations that display visions from three different sides, namely the arrangement of the solar system seen from the sun, above, and the back of the earth. The application also facilitated the quiz feature to find out students’ understanding of the solar system after using this application.
