Abstract

This paper describes the ongoing efforts on efficient water resource management in the city of Carouge, Switzerland, tackling Sustainable Development Goals on water resources. The city handles two unique use cases that connect water economy with urban agriculture and quality of water resources related to the health of citizens. Through the H2020 European project NAIADES, cloud based IoT solutions with integrated AI technology and consumer awareness are being developed. Further efforts will be continued with a focus on collecting more data for AI systems and enhancing data integrity by adding blockchain based data security solutions.
