Abstract

Nikki Grice is a Clinical Psychologist who has worked in both a voluntary and clinical capacity with individuals experiencing financial hardship. The accompanying article is an abridged version of her doctoral research where she interviewed mothers to explore how they felt poverty had impacted their mental health. The aim of the article is to increase understanding and generate debate around a topic that has historically received scant attention in the field of Psychology.
