Afterward, a subdomain (SD) model is established to analyze the armature reaction, and Taguchi method is employed for optimization purposes. The optimized result is verified by FEM, and a comparison experiment is conducted between T-LPMM and SM-LPMM. Abstract

This paper presents an improved T-shape linear permanent magnet machine (T-LPMM) based on a traditional surface-mounted linear permanent magnet machine (SM-LPMM). The proposed topological structure aims to protect the surface of the permanent magnet from corrosion and enhance the rigidity against make highfrequency vibration.
