In-depth interviews were used to validate the survey results and investigate themes further. The study presents a nuanced and contextualized analysis of the attitudes and mindsets of planners. It is expected that the study will initiate a discourse on planning values in India and encourage planners to confront the full implications of their decisions.KEYWORDS: Planning ethicsplanning valuesIndiapublic valuesurban planning Disclosure statementNo potential conflict of interest was reported by the author(s).
