This technology saves labor costs and increases production. The main objective of the research is to determine the influence of wire temperature on the quality of cuts achieved through hot wire cutting technology and explore the optimal material combination for low power consumption in wire cutting technology. The technique utilizes controlling the current regulation of the Nichrome wire, to reduce the power consumption. The Hot Wire CNC Machine is controlled by a micro controller which sends a special code called G-Code to the stepper motors and the current regulation is controlled by PWM (Pulse Width Modulation) through Power transistor. Abstract

Recently, the Hot Wire CNC Technology is use for the purpose of cutting of the materials like thermopol and foam for the packaging of products. This technology saves labor costs and increases production. The main objective of the research is to determine the influence of wire temperature on the quality of cuts achieved through hot wire cutting technology and explore the optimal material combination for low power consumption in wire cutting technology.
