Methodology: This descriptive quantitative study was conducted from November 1, 2022 to April 20, 2022 at Al-Safwa University College/Nursing Department. The study instrument had two sections; component one dealt with the sample's demographics, including age, gender, and academic stage. The second section, which included 20 items, concerns with students' perceptions of how to discriminate between terms from the nursing diagnostic textbook and terms used in regular clinical settings. Seven subject-matter experts were consulted regarding the validity of the instrument. There was 0.65 dependability. SPSS version 23 was used for the data analysis. Results: We found that 39.35% students correctly identified the difference between common clinical terminology and nursing diagnoses, whereas 57.85% gave incorrect response.
