Abstract

The operating parameters have an important impact on the performance of a proton exchange membrane fuel cell (PEMFC). This paper investigates experimentally and numerically the cell temperature and relative humidity which have a significant influence on the PEMFC current density. These parameters are adjusted simultaneously and dynamically during operation. A 50 cm2 active area single-cell PEMFC with serpentine flow channel was studied.
