Abstract
Physical skills are an ability that students with moderate intellectual disabilities need to continue learning and developing. This study aims to enhance a sample of Jordanian students’ physical abilities through a training regimen based on modified physical exercises. The research sample size was 24 participants, split evenly between two groups of 12 students, one of them was a control group, and the other was an experimental group. The selection criteria for the sample were very stringent. This research was conducted with a somewhat experimental design. According to the results, the current experimental program using modified physical exercises has a profound impact on adolescents with moderate mental impairment. This paper suggests implementing the existing experimental program in individual and group settings with students outside the sample. To motivate students, enhance their mental health, and encourage their growth and development, the study argues that physical skills should be prioritized over vocational ones.
