Abstract

Life table of Spodoptera frugiperda on maize was undertaken to study the different population growth statistics. The results on number of individuals survived during development revealed that there was 12.32% mortality during pupal stage. The number that survived from 100 eggs to adult emergence was 42 individuals. Females contributed highest number of progeny (mx =2285) in the life cycle on the 40th day of pivotal age.
