Abstract
Since ancient times, honey has been successfully used for the treatment of several infectious diseases. The objective of this review is to evaluate the different methods used in the evaluation of the antibacterial activity of honey. Several bioassays, such as disk diffusion method, well diffusion method, and broth or agar dilution method are commonly used as they do not require specific equipment.
