It argues that caregivers' language choices and interactions get entangled in complex ways with the socio-cultural organization of everyday life and with local pedagogies and understandings of children's development, which, in turn, shape children's participation roles and long-term developmental trajectories as learners and speakers.</p><p>Este artículo examina las elecciones lingüísticas y las interacciones cotidianas de cuidadores con niños en una comunidad zapoteca urbana de México, en donde el diidxazá está siendo desplazado por el español en el uso cotidiano. Abstract
