Under a non-experimental, exploratory-descriptive and quantitative design, a survey was applied to a sample of Temuco’s foreigner residents (n= 200), using descriptive statistics for the analysis. The results indicate that the local real estate market shows incipient signs of exclusion, while low rates of use of urban spaces are observed.Theseevidencesareprobably related to the recent nature of migratory flows in the city. The article contributesto thediscussionabout the relationship between urban space and migration from a statistical approach to the intermediate cities ofsouthern Chile, still understudied.
