Abstract
A revised version of the 2005 Real ID Act has been introduced in the US Senate. The revision – the Providing for Additional Security in States' Identification (Pass ID) Act of 2009 – has been proposed by six senators (five Democratic and one Republican), and is supported by the National Conference of State Legislatures (NCSL), the National Governors Association (NGA) and the US Department of Homeland Security (DHS).
