Abstract
Given the current dual pandemics (COVID-19 and racial unrest) and global climate change crisis, professional counselors are faced with the challenge of helping clients navigate living in an never-changing multicultural world. Since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, scholars have provided evidence of an increased prevalence of depression, anxiety, and posttraumatic stress disorders among the general population. Researchers have also found an increase in xenophobic responses and violence against racial minorities, racial disparities in physical and mental health-related outcomes, and environmental injustices within vulnerable communities.
