California Water Service Group is a holding company. Through its subsidiaries, Co. is engaged in the production, purchase, storage, treatment, testing, distribution and sale of water for domestic, industrial, public and irrigation uses, and for fire protection. In addition, Co. provides non-regulated water-related services under agreements with municipalities and other private companies including full water system operation, billing and meter reading services. As of Dec 31 2007, Co. provided its services to approximately 463,600 customers in 83 California communities; 15,800 customers in the Tacoma and Olympia areas; 7,500 customers in New Mexico; and 700 customers on the island of Maui.
