The procedure employs three methods of DNA analysis based on polymerase chain reaction (PCR): PCR with arbitrary primers (AP PCR), simple sequence repeat polymorphism (SSRP) analysis, and inter-simple sequence repeat (ISSR) analysis. The approach to certification proposed may be used in both genetic and breeding research and seed production. A \"certificate\" form that reflects the unique characteristics of each cultivar studied is proposed.
