Entre multitudes y lideres: introducir la relación causada en Las multitudes argentinas de José Ramos Mejía a partir del horizonte hobbesiano.

Abstract

: The main objective of this article is to analyze the figure of the crowd in Las multitudes argentinas by José Ramos Mejía based on its theoretical-political link with the thought of Thomas Hobbes. Far from assuming the lack of rigor that many analyzes indicate in the work of the Argentine, what is sought here is to account for a central aspect of it: the link established between the leader and the crowd is a caused relationship and, therefore, it must be sustained over time. In this sense, Ramos Mejía thinks, like Hobbes, of the need to update the caused relationship as a way of inhabiting the conflict between the One and the multiple.
