Abstract
The recent brief work presents the results of attempts to simplify a procedure to detect dissolved Hg(II) compounds. It is based on the performance of a procedure, after the simplification of the prescription given in literature. The simplification was performed, to avoid the use of volatile organic compounds (VOC), such as the proposed in literature isoamyl alcohol.
