In hypercholesterolemic patients there was a low and positive correlation between high-density lipoproteins and total cholesterol (0.344). In both groups there was a high correlation between cholesterol and low-density lipoproteins and a low and positive correlation between cholesterol and very low-density lipoproteins. Abstract

Objective: To evaluate the degree of correlation between high-density, low-density, and very low-density lipoproteins and total cholesterol in patients with normal and high cholesterolemia.
