In the process of socialization today, urban culture is an important representation of modern culture. If we continue to draw contemporary urban characters in a conservative traditional ink style, it will feel out of place. The theme of urban figures is a major challenge and opportunity in the process of Chinese figure painting. 城市人物水墨画之我见
作品有巧有拙,有古有今。水墨人物画发展至今,古装题材、少数民族题材、戏剧题材的作品很多,但都市人物题材的作品却很少。这似乎有其特殊的原因。中国传统水墨人物题材一般以古代服饰为主,服饰纹样长而复杂。而现在许多汉字画家则大量描绘藏族人物、舞蹈人物或新仕女。这些人物的衣纹、线条较长,造型也比较接近传统古装人物服饰。因此,在上述题材上嫁接传统笔墨程式相对容易,这在当下的水墨人物创新中是比较偷懒的。在当今社会化进程中,都市文化是现代文化的重要代表。如果继续用保守的传统水墨风格来画当代都市人物,就会给人一种格格不入的感觉。都市人物题材是中国人物画创作过程中的一大挑战和机遇。如何用更生动的语言来描绘都市人物,是当代中国人物画家需要深入思考的重要课题。
