Replacing conventional otter boards with SAO resulted in a loss of catch efficiency for haddock (Melanogrammus aeglefinus), whiting (Merlangius merlangus), and plaice (Hippoglossoides platessoides), while no significant difference was found for cod (Gadus morhua), common dab (Limanda limanda) and lemon sole (Microstomus kitt).
