Abstract
The focus of this issue of Praxis is mentoring. Most professions recognize the mentoring process as a requisite component for licensure or certification leading to the privilege of practice. Similar to the fields of medicine and law, the tradition of mentoring in the teaching profession has been apprenticeship.
