Abstract

Let Abstract Image$(X,T)$ and Abstract Image$(Y,S)$ be two topological dynamical systems, where Abstract Image$(X,T)$ has the weak specification property. Let Abstract Image$\xi $ be an invariant measure on the product system Abstract Image$(X\times Y, T\times S)$ with marginals Abstract Image$\mu $ on X and Abstract Image$\nu $ on Y, with Abstract Image$\mu $ ergodic. Let Abstract Image$y\in Y$ be quasi-generic for Abstract Image$\nu $. Then there exists a point Abstract Image$x\in X$ generic for Abstract Image$\mu $ such that the pair Abstract Image$(x,y)$ is quasi-generic for Abstract Image$\xi $. This is a generalization of a similar theorem by T. Kamae, in which Abstract Image$(X,T)$ and Abstract Image$(Y,S)$ are full shifts on finite alphabets.
