Education, message alignment keys to success amid ongoing changes in college athletics

Abstract

It can prove challenging to successfully manage the continually changing landscape of fundraising and engagement within college athletics, especially since name, image, and likeness came on the scene. Message alignment and education have been game changers for Michael Paulus, who recently took on a new role as Assistant Dean for Advancement and External Engagement at Syracuse University's Martin J. Whitman School of Management after serving more than two years as Senior Associate Athletic Director and Executive Director of Athletic Development at Syracuse University.
