Abstract
The jewel beetle Anthaxia (Cratomerus) scorzonerae (Frivaldszky, 1837) (Coleoptera: Buprestidae), found in Volgograd Province, is recorded for the first time for the Russian fauna and compared with the closely related A. (C.) diadema (Fischer von Waldheim, 1824). Images of both species, photographs of their biotopes, and a map of A. scorzonerae localities in Volgograd Province are given.
