Abstract

Climate change has become a serious challenge to human sustainable development. Coastal areas, as gathering places for population and resources, also frequently suffer from disturbances such as rising sea levels and extreme weather. At the United Nations Climate Change Conference (UNCCC), it was emphasized that the issue of climate inequality is becoming increasingly prominent, and seeking "climate justice" has become a general trend. Coastal African countries with lower carbon emissions face greater climate risks, but lack the capacity to address these challenges. No one can be spared under the crisis. Here, to realize the commitment of Leave No One Behind (LNOB) proposed by the United Nations Sustainable Development Group, we propose to rectify this imbalance, focus on academic research on sustainability in African coastal countries, and promote global fairness and sustainable development under climate crisis by improving climate compensation mechanisms, promoting technical support, strengthening economic assistance, and promoting international cooperation.
