Age, sex, injury level, admission and discharge anthropometrics, nutrition interventions, length of stay, liver function tests, sternocleidomastoid muscle area (SMA) indexed to height on admission, and follow-up computed tomography scans were collected. Twenty patients receiving oxandrolone and 20 controls were included. Oxandrolone patients lost less weight; however, no differences were observed in SMA. Abstract
