Hal ini tentunya didasarkan atas tujuan dan visi keluarga, sehingga kegiatan homeschooling setiap keluarga akan berbeda-beda sesuai dengan visinya masing-masing. Dengan itu maka tujuan penelitian studi kasus ini adalah untuk mengetahui adanya Peran Orang Tua Dalam Memilih Pendidikan Homeschooling Bagi Anak. Subjek penelitian terdiri atas 3 keluarga yang menerapkan pembelajaran homeschooling bagi anaknya yang rata-rata berusia 6 – 10 tahun di Ciampea Ilir, Perumahan Purry Arraya, dan Perumahan Dramaga Pratama, Bogor. Peneliti menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus, data yang digunakan adalah hasil dari wawancara, observasi dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: 1) Pendidikan homeschooling adalah pendidikan berbasis keluarga yang memuat pendidikan rumahan sesuai dengan visi misi keluarga itu sendiri dan kurikulum yang dipilih juga sesuai nilai keluarga dan tujuan akhir orang tua. Sehingga bukan diartikan sebagai sekolah yang dipindahkan ke rumah, 2) Alasan orang tua memilih model pendidikan homeschooling bagi anak, karena orang tua melihat adanya karakter anak, minat dan bakat anak yang mesti dikembangkan serta adanya keinginan kuat untuk menjadikan anak-anak sebagai penerus generasi, 3) Praktek yang dilakukan dirumah lebih tepatnya adalah pendidikan rumahan (home education). Dimana kegiatan yang dilakukan setiap keluarga akan bervariasi disesuaikan dengan kebutuhan dan tujuan atau target yang ingin dicapai, 4) Hambatan orang tua dalam menjalani pendidikan homeschooling dapat terjadi karena faktor internal ataupun eksternal tergantung pada kondisi masing-masing keluarga. Adapun faktor internal seperti adanya adik yang mengganggu proses belajar anak serta profesi atau kesibukan orang tua, sementara factor eksternalnya adalah adanya berbagai persepsi orang lain terhadap keluarga yang menerapkan homeschooling, dan 5) Berbagai persepsi orang lain terhadap homeschooling ditanggapi orang tua dengan tenang dan menjelaskan bahwa apa yang dilakukan sesuai dengan tujuan dan target anak yang dibantu melalui peran orang tua secara penuh dan maksimal meskipun awalnya memang berat dan cukup mengena dihati, namun seiring berjalannya waktu serta banyaknya dukungan dari keluarga-keluarga homeschooling lainnya akhirnya segala persepsi dapat diterima dengan baik. \nHomeschooling education is widely applied by families who feel that parents must play a full role in the child's education process to require parents to be directly involved in the learning process. This is certainly based on family goals and visions, so that homeschooling activities for each family will vary according to their respective visions. With that, the purpose of this case study research is to find out the role of parents in choosing homeschooling education for children. The subjects of the study consisted of 3 families who implemented homeschooling learning for their children whose average age was 6-10 years in Ciampea Ilir, Purry Arraya Housing, and Dramaga Pratama Housing, Bogor. Researchers use qualitative methods with descriptive methods and the data used are the results of interviews, observations and documentation. The results showed that: 1) Homeschooling education is a family-based education that contains home education in accordance with the vision and mission of the family itself and the curriculum chosen is also in accordance with family values and the ultimate goals of parents. So it is not interpreted as a school that is moved to the home, 2) The reason parents choose the homeschooling education model for children, because parents see the child's character, interests and talents that must be developed and there is a strong desire to make children as the next generation, 3) The practice carried out at home is more precisely home education ( home education). Where the activities carried out by each family will vary according to the needs and goals or targets to be achieved, 4) Parental obstacles in undergoing homeschooling education can occur due to internal or external factors depending on the conditions of each family.
