Postpartum hemorrhage (PPH) is defined as the loss of more than 1000 mL of blood after childbirth. Signs and symptoms are present after birth, and they can be prevented. The World Health Organization has defined treatment for PPH. This treatment bundle is known as E-MOTIVE intervention and is to be administered in cases of PPH.
